I have had chronic feet pain (heels/arches/achilles) for 5 years. Misdiagnosed with plantar fasciitis and tarsal tunnel, tried all the treatments for those. Tested positive for Lyme 1.5 years ago and bartonella 6 months ago.
I know that heel pain is a common symptom of bartonella, but has anyone experienced that swimming makes the pain worse and running makes it better? My feet don't hurt while I'm swimming, but hours later, my achilles are burning, my heels are extremely sensitive to touch and my arches hurt like crazy. Hours after running, my feet feel the best they can feel (but still in pain).
I can't find a SOUL with this same experience. Is there anyone out there??
I am currently being treated for lyme/bartonella (herbals and diet change for 3 months) but no improvements yet.

I have sore bottoms of my feet every morning when I step out of bed and walk on them.
I can’t explain why there’s a difference in walking vs swimming for you / possibly a combination of different muscles being used? But you’d think the running on them would hurt more.
After the initial pain in the morning - my feet are fine the rest of the day - including when I went swimming at the lake.
Sorry - I don’t have anything to offer!!
