Had a pretty decent day yesterday, then came in and saw my blood tests from hematologist. Shouldn't have looked.
I've had low red and white blood counts low normal or drop to low levels, but this time many have gone south - more than I've ever had. To list low ones: WBC 3.0, granulcoytes 1.98 lymphocytes .80, mononcytes 0.17 RBC 4.02, RDW 10.6, MPV 7.2, Manuel eosinophils 0%.
Also - haptoglobin (first I've seen this) is very low at 11mg with 34 low normal, and kappa free light chain still high at 22.9 (19 is high normal). Has anyone had a blood test this "off?" I have been concerned about autoimmune and know I have some form of it, though almost all tests for it come out normal.
Waiting on EBV latest numbers. As most know, EBV can cause autoimmune, but it can also lead to cancer, which is my deep concern here. That is not to scare anyone because I am only concerned based on the blood test. I went through a bone marrow biopsy in 2012 and another in 2017, but am concerned with quick rise in symptoms that has happened.
Sorry to go into so much detail. It was enough for hematologst to order more tests. In addition, I've had a daily fever, mostly in afternoons, for more than a year and a half. Last few months have had large lymph node on left side of neck that gets pretty big and sometimes goes down smaller, but it's always there.
Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated. Have gotten so I do not want to see another doctor or take another test because of psychological stress it brings.
