Hi confossi, I have always been confused about
this as well and it is really discouraging to hear that it is true. So dose this mean that no matter how soon someone receive treatment the Lyme bacteria will always be in their body? I was in poor health to start (fibromyalgia, MTHFR mutation, possible mold exposure) then last year I developed an EM and was treated about
a month later, by then my rash had already disappeared into my skin and I have read in the Lyme Solution by Darin Ingels that unless you get treated within 72 hours and catch the rash before it fades the bacteria evades your body. It's comforting to know that people go into remission though. I guess we will just have to stay as heathy as we can, eat right, get good sleep, lower stress, detox and keep a strong immune system. Glad these boards are helping you, I have learned a lot from being on here aw well!
