Hi
So another member on here recommended Gou Teng as an herb to help with neuropathy.
In reading it's healing properties. It's touted as antihypertensive. Unfortunately I suffer from low blood. Lo 100's on a good day.
Anyone have any suggestions or advice?
Thanks!

Hi UnsightlyCygnet,
You strike again dear friend! Okay this helps! I'll give the Gou Teng to my hubby or mom...they have high BP!
You're the best! How's your week going?

UnsightlyCignet I've used Gou Teng before but did not notice much.
They say it has antipsychotic properties like Aripiprazole.
If you get the granules be careful because they are concentrated to a certain ratio.

I agree with UnsightlyCignet & the others with the lion's mane. There are many neuro-protective herbs that can be researched then you can decide which are the best fit for your unique physiology. Find a good-quality herbal tea and drink, twice a day with 1 tablespoon of raw, organic, extra-virgin coconut oil added to it. Coconut oil's even been proven to help, the brains of Alzheimer's patients. Here's a link- list of 5 Ayurvedic herbs for the mind. I think, Banyan Botanicals is a great company BUT they are a bit costly. Quality is so important, tho. I also like Organic India & Himalaya brands and they're less costly. I don't use the US made Himalaya-brand products. The constituents are vastly different than the Ayurvedic herbal products made in India. Read, learn, play games, talk to others, meditation, exercise -even walking every day helps my mind. Simple Hawthorn helped level out my BP which used to be very low normally with occasional very high readings- Take care.

UnsightlyCygnet glad to hear it! So the Lion's mane makes your head feel funnyish or Gou Teng?
I've started the Salvia. Does this make you herx, bc I've noticed a change. It's made my neuropathy in my arms more noticeable but helped with my neck.

I take Phosphylatidylcholine and Omega 3's. Those are great! I will try coconut oil. Was doing that this summer actually.
But thanks for the advice on the Salvia, Lion's Mane and the others. I halved the Salvia. Just gonna back off of it a bit.

Thanks, when I thought it had slightly improved but it's still giving me trouble.

Eliza, any chance you have small fiber neuropathy? Whats your neuropathy like?
Cignet, thanks for the recommendations. Do have neuropathy too?
I ordered all my herbs today. For neuropathy/autoimmunity settled on Chinese Skullcap, Cordyceps, Red Sage and Lions Mane (last two were Cignets recs) in addition to Japanese Knotweed and Andrographis for antimicrobials.

BlackTara, I forgot to thank you for your suggestions! Thanks a bunch!
dcd2103 I have a weakness feeling, lots of tingles, myalgia, and joint like pain. I don't know what small fiber neuropathy is compared to peripheral neuropathy.
