Online certainly
opens up a lot of available music....I absolutely love it, many genres at you finger tips. Whatever you want, its there.
Im mentioning non-pop, non-rock stuff here, but most every band and artists has songs that for this post title too- that list would be endless from the last 50 years.
Some cheezy 60s-70s old country pop is pretty relaxing too..like Glen Campelle's version of Gentile on my mind and County Lineman. .
As far as relaxing, there is plenty of non-band "massage" music for meditating with the water trickle sound ect, I can only deal with that for a while though.
For relaxing, I like old school stringed acoustic guitar stuff, mandolins ect , relaxing and uplifting: mello flamenco, Spanish guitar ect. Theres even some awesome harp music on you tube, never thought Id say that. Some very little know gifted artists online today. I just put any of those words on the YouTube search and there it is. I like clasical guitar too for both.
Funny, what got me into old school guitar style (including mandolins) was when I first heard Led Zeppelins Battle of Evermore off Zep IV, as a young 70's teen. Opposite of metal. The stringed arrangements are candy to you ears, lyrics are somewhat dark but mythical/fantasy from Hobbit / Lord of the rings.
