It could be those...........or other things.

Well, all these infections can do this.

And if it is, just what is the change causing it? Adrenal, thyroid, lack of detox??

People without these infections, but with thyroid issues, get night sweats when their level is off, or even when adjusting to a higher dose, or changing thyroid Rx replacement hormone brand.

To make it more confusing, Thyroid symptoms are overlapping and most are identical to these infection symptoms.

Have you had thyroid freeT4 and free T3 tested recently?

If inadequate thyroid hormone level is caused by these infections, it can correct itself when the infection is controlled, but not always, such as if it turns into autoimmune.

The thyroid tests I mentioned are reglular lab tests by regular Drs- covered by insurance depending on what you have. This eliminates guessing. You can also buy them online for about $80, like "direct labs", and find a participating draw center. Cash (you paying) at a regular Dr would be over $150 combined.

Adrenal cortisol is a hormone too, which can be affected by stress, (infection is also a body stressor) but not as easily controlled or understood as thyroid. There are many tests for this, but are not as accurate.

Always test thyroid first.

I think checking the thyroid will be my first stop. They’ve never bothered me before I always assumed that it’s just babesia doing its thing, but my health anxiety likes to take over and send me into panic every now and then.

My llmd did give me iodyzyme which may actually have been for that reason but I never took it.

I would add Sida acuta. It’s what Buhner recommended for both babesia and bartonella. Start low and slow.

You mentioned this started when on artesunate. I’m guessing you are no longer on that. Artemisia can be taken without pulsing, but Sida acuta may work better (according to Buhner). If you had good results with artesunate, you might want to take all 3 - artemisia, cryptolepis, and Sida acuta. I have taken each of them and they each feel different and have different effects.

Woodland Essence has a CSA Formula, which is Crypto, Sida, Alchornea. You could do that alone or add artemisia with it. There site lists these contraindications for Sida acuta: “ Safety considerations: Sida acuta is contraindicated in Pregnancy, and should be used with caution in Hypertension, Hyperthyroid and Hypoglycemia. *

The point I try to make when mentioning this is even if it is, in your case -babs, the sweats are probably caused from what babs does to your thyroid. Its always good to know. In the long run, I suspect there are many who assume they still have infections and are actually left with a goofy thyroid, which coincidentally can have many of the same symptoms. If that is the case, sometimes just an thyroid herbal support can make you feel better even while still treating these infections. Not everyone needs daily Rx thyroid replacement med.

And why is this important? Because you need to eliminate all body stressors as much as possible while treating otherwise treatment can take longer as the body is just to overrun with everything haywire. Every single cell in the body needs thyroid hormone to work properly. Everyone here should have it checked.

I agree with astroman on this. I was told for so many years that night sweats were babesia but treating that never helped. For me it's adrenal or mast cell.

Girlie, did your sweats/nightsweats finish for good or do you still have them...?
Do you think it would be because of babesia illness..?
