You're not faking it, I know what you're going through, you may think it at times because you're your brain is convincing you sometimes that its fake, as well as other things, but what you're going through is real...
Have you read about
Disulfiram? Reading this woman's story about
using this drug, I think will give you hope... this was just shared a few days ago on the Beating Bartonella Facebook Group...

I am no longer living daily with neurological complications such as brain fog, memory loss, loss of speech, difficulty finding words, pins and needle feeling through my arms, numbness in my legs, facial twitching, light sensitive, noise sensitivity, night sweats, air hunger, fatigue, stiff neck, fevers, chills, shooting/stabbing pains, depersonalization, feeling like my brain was burning or on fire, Insomnia, and vision complication. All of the symptoms have been completely cleared up by Antabuse. I am finally getting my life back again and I am so grateful.
If you've tried every bartonella antibiotic there is, don't give up hope. There's these things that are called persister cells that some of the antibiotics aren't targetting. And the one special thing that Disulfiram doesn't do is erradicate the good bacteria in your microbiome, aka gut. Ever hear that 70% of your immune system is located in your gut? There's a lot of truth to that statement as we're starting to find out that autoimmunity could very well be due to an imbalanced microbiome.
The two things that Disulfiram does best is, target persister cells and also not kill off any of your microbiome.
And this isn't the only drug that I suspect may have successful results for drug resistant bartonella, Dr. H from New York had a lyme patient that had tried every bartonella antibiotic, it wasn't until she tried pyrazinamide, that her body began to finally respond. Remind you that pyrazinamide is an old tuberculosis drug for tuberculosis persister cells.

I suspect, as well as others like Georgia Hunter, that an imbalanced microbiome as well as SIBO may play a role in keeping autoimmunity up and these darn coinfections very hard to eradicate.
I know Dr. H said he was having success suing oregano oil to target bartonella persister cells, but when I added that in with bactrim+omnicef, herxing became way to severe for me.

Still questionable though if an antibiotic like bactrim, rifampin, or even biaxin will be strong enough to kill bartonella persister cells...
