As no one answers, I'll give you my opinion.
I read that Agent Orange is theratogenic (spelling), meaning that it causes genetic mutations / defects.
The Vietnamese are still asking Monsanto for compensation, I think.
People were affected by thousands (or even millions....).
So I suppose, children could also suffer from consequences?
Anyway, all these very harsh chemicals do no good for the liver and the immune system.
It hadn't boosted your father's health, for sure...
But I guess, we are bombarded daily by so many toxins, that it's hard to pin point what may be causing problems...
Thank you for your opinion, Shasta.
There are many children of Vietnam Veterans effected by this horrific chemical. My Dad is actually in great health, thankfully. My sister and I aren’t. I believe it changes the entire genetic profile of children of VV, making us more susceptible to having chronic illnesses, immune diseases, bone and joint diseases, etc.
The Vietnamese will not get the compensation they need, nor will American children of Vietnam Veterans or Veterans themselves. The American government, brought to us by “companies” like Monsanto, is extremely unwilling to admit they did anything wrong. I don’t know a government that would admit to such a horrible tragedy like this. Same with Lyme disease. Cover-ups and denials and repeat.
It is what it is unfortunately, so I will just have to go on with my life not focusing on the unknowns, like you pointed out, but thinking positively that some day I will be healed; if not on earth, then in Heaven.
