Hi Everyone,

My doctor is recommending that I start IVIG treatment, as I have had really no progress with my lyme/ Bartonella and my testing for immunoglobulin G (subclass one and two) came back low. I was wondering if anyone knows of the success with this IVIG. I have done basically all testing (mold, MCAS, heavy metals, confections, parasites, etc) and it seems no matter what I treat nothing happens. I'm wondering if there is anyone who has had success with IVIG and why IVIG would help.

I know of a LL pediatric doc who will use IVIG for some of his patients after treating the infections.

Would your dr also treat the infections along with the IVIG?

I’m on disulfiram and methylene blue with a bunch of herbal supplements... so yes. I just have not had any reaction to anything so wondering if IVIG is something known to help

I don't know of ratios or anything and my guess would be focusing on gut and anti- inflammatory practices will help your success but I've definitely seen success stories with IVIG

I’m on IVIG. What are your symptoms? Do you have any autoimmune issues? How’s your bloodwork, any positive antibodies? Positive Ana? When were you bitten?

It may be that you’re not responding to abx because you’ve developed autoimmunity and that’s what’s causing your symptoms. If so, IVIG will help. If that’s not the case and you do have an infection it probably won’t.

IV I G is basically swapping out the part of your blood plasma that has your immune system cells in it with other blood. Lyme lowers immune cell volume in many people so by replacing it you would temporarily have a stronger immune system. I said temporarily because this is done every four weeks to seven weeks I think.

Inquire about cost before you do this it can be very , very expensive.

Hey, I was on IVIG for 1 year without change...but main thing is - how many g of IVIG on 1kg weight is in plan?
High doses are suuuper expensive!
I had only dose for some immune deficiency support... higher doses are for autoimmune diseases mainly, i think...
