PAINFUL SPOT ON HEAD - Bartonella? Shingles?

I'm back! Always something new and exciting in the life of a chronic lyme sufferer.

I'm still feeling great (there is hope!). Energy great, mind clear and happy, exercising.

But I developed a very painful spot on my head. Like it hurts to even move my hair. about the size of a donut. Not a headache. Doesn't hurt until I touch it but WOW. Went to the dr. cause I was afraid of a stroke or tumor. The nurse came in and said right away the same thing happened to her and after about 2 weeks, shingles broke out on her face. Then LLMD came in and said she thinks its more nerve pain caused by the bartonella. I have quite a bit of peripheral neuropathy in all different spots. She agreed to run both tests. Shingles test IGM was negative but IGG was positive. ?? was it too early for shingles test. We are 10 days out now and no outbreak. Still waiting for bartonella test result.
I am taking anti-viral as well as back on bactrim for the bart.

Has anyone had anything similar ? Thanks.

I have a spot in my forehead that was as you described but it would get worse On antibiotics, almost like a herx. I also heard that Bart can cause painful masses similar to a tumor but I guess they are non cancerous? Mine pretty much went away with treatment. Sometimes I think I can feel it but it’s not red anymore. Some people get them on their shins too. Weird.

Does it follow any patterns like the TCM meridians?

I have that it feels like someone hit me on the head. Sore to touch it it lasted for a couple days then went away.

I have neuropathy spots like this. They can feel like a painful bruise but with no actual injury and nothing visible. I assume it's nerve inflammation, most likely resulting from Bartonella infection.

I have this and it’s Bart. My scalp gets sore to the touch at the top of my head and it hurts to move my hair around.

I have a sore spot on my head that never goes away, and is painful when I move my hair around. I've seen this on a longer list of symptoms ... I know many Lyme and Co-infection sufferers have it. A dermatologist called it something else, but I know it's lyme n co-related, they weren't LLMDs.
