I'll try to keep this short because I'm more focused on the answers. But for the past two months I've been hit with debilitating fatigue that seemed to develop into inflammation and brain fog. I knew something was wrong and my best guess was I had a recent mono infection, I got tested for EBV and my levels did come back elevated indicating a past infection and explanation for my fatigue, however, I never actually got sick with mono in the first place or at least I don't remember, this is why I'm scared I have a tick borne illness because I have had a recent internship for 3 months where I was out in all kind of woody/coastal areas. I never saw a tick on me, but I do have a suspected bite but no idea what from. I got a doctor to give me 3 weeks doxy because **** it. I can't say its helped, but some things may have improved like the brain fog and inflammation, but I don't know if that's really from the antibiotic. Okay, now for the questions.
1. What tests should I ask for when I see my PCP? From my understanding ELISA and Western Blot? What test for coinfections?
2. Is there a way to know if it's truly just EBV and not a tick illness? My titter levels were at 259 for EBV IGG.
3. Trusted LLMD's in the Charleston/Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area? Or close by? And any that insurance covers?
4. And just any other advice in general to help me figure out what the **** is going on with my body or how to heal it EBV or Tick?
