Three things that made me suspicious that things might have been off for me before I even got Lyme.
1. Stomach/GI issues: My entire life I had issues with upset stomach dating back into childhood. I thought it was just "how I was". Diarrhea and things of that nature were common place. I didn't figure out until I was in my LATE 20s that it was the Standard American Diet that was causing those issues. Somehow it never occurred to me that my diet could cause these issues. It was only after I acquired Lyme and fixed my diet did those issues start to subside. It's a fascinating case study of how we basically are indoctrinated by whatever our parents and society teaches us as children.
2. As I transitioned into adulthood, early 20s time frame, I noticed that I seemed to have less energy than others around me. Was this illness related? Was this a biological issue? Was it a diet issue? I have been dealing with high EBV numbers since the first time I tested them via my LLMD. Did Lyme reactivate EBV or was it always there? I can't say for sure, but they are interesting questions.
3. I've never had what I would consider a normal male sex drive. My sex drive has mostly always been low. I'm not sure the cause of this. Every once in awhile I will get an unbelievable sexual urge. It makes me think that if this is how other boys/men have felt since puberty no wonder they are horn dogs! I would be too if I felt that way every day lol
