I take cordyceps and lions mane. I literally dont feel a thing on them and i dont believe theyre upsetting my autoimmune issue. I may stop just because they dont seem to be hurting or helping.
I LOVE the idea of using SBI protect. I made it my goal to fix my gut because I believe thats one of the causes of my autoimmunity. Since changing my diet and starting bovine colostrum (which is IgG immunoglobulins aimed at healing the gut lining just like SBI protect) my SIBO and IBS are gone. My energy is through the roof.
Anxiety and depression greatly improved. Only symptom still left is this dang AI nerve pain, which could take a long time to heal since the nerves are damaged. I'm sure i still have autoimmunity but I hope that after a long period like this it improves significantly. AI issues often wax and wane and can heal themselves if you give them the right environment to do so. I'm gonna pick up some SBI protect hadnt heard of it til you mentioned, but its a non-dairy source of IgG and that was the only thing that bothered me about
colostrum, the fact that its dairy.
My guess as to the problem would be the monolauren, and i feel like its a strong hunch. A lot of people seem to herx on it and i can imagine something that strong would bother an AI issue.
The other possibility is the Bicillin. I was on it for 5 weeks. The first week after I started i began to notice some mild joint pain and increased nerve pain. I thought it was a herx so i thought it meant i was on the right track. By week 5 i was so bad that i literally couldnt walk. My shoulders and bicepts felt like i was 200 years old. I thought i had polymyalgia rheumatica. Then my knee swelled up w/ a lump the size of a golf ball. I talked to my LLMD who thankfully isnt a typical LLMD quack who thinks everything is a herx, he recognized it immediately as serum sickness and made me stop. about
10% of the population is allergic to penicillin, i guess i am too.
