Hope you get over your herx soon, Quin.
I'm still taking minocycline, but not getting any noticeable bartonella herx. Bartonella is difficult because minocycline seems to eliminate the symptoms, but I've had it relapse in the past. Bartonella is really hard to kill 100%.
Last month, I added depakote to the mepron and omnicef that I was already taking, and it caused a brutal herx, which led me to stop the abx for two weeks. I'm now back on everything and only getting a slight herx. Hopefully that means I killed most of the bacteria, but depakote is a very slow acting drug that can take 2 to 3 weeks to really get the full effect. I've only been taking it for a week, so it's a little too early to tell.
Four drugs at once is a lot for me. I'm usually hesitant to take so many because if I have a bad reaction to something it makes it hard to figure out what caused it. In the past, I've had to discontinue cryptolepis and septra due to side effects.
I'm noticing some salt craving, and I'm not entirely sure what's causing it. My guess is mepron, which also seems to be causing some mild diarrhea despite probiotics. Other than that I haven't had any trouble tolerating the mepron.
