Hi everyone, I am asking this question for my sister Heartsinpain. She is making a good recovery from Lyme and will even be returning to work full time. In order to return to work she needs to get a Tuberculosis test, dose anyone think that she will react to this test since it's putting bacteria into your system, she is really worried about it. Thank you for your help!

I had that test - but it was many years ago - prelyme.

Does she have a LLMD she can ask?

Thank you so much Girlie! She has been feeling good and is low on money since she had to stop working so she left her LLMD in the summer. I know she wants to write a success story for the boards once she gets rolling with this job, I am very happy that she is doing good and I know this board has helped both her and myself so much!

Maybe she can try quantiferon test?
Description
The QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (QFT-G) is a whole-blood test for use as an aid in diagnosing Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, including latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) and tuberculosis (TB) disease. This test was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2005.
