I recently listened to the below podcast (transcript
is in link too) about
antibody testing for mold. You do not need a docs signature for it and cost is $380.Tests for 12 IGE & IGG mycotoxins (so 24 results).
The doctor in podcast - Andrew Campbell is the medical director at the lab. Which always makes me a little skeptical. Of course this is the best test when you make $$!
Basically the gist of what he says is IGE is immediate response and IGG is longterm. His treatment after removing exposure is itraconazole (100mg, 2x a day for 6 months) and building immune system back up (vitamins, minerals, herbs). Likes sauna & strictly uses charcoal for binder. Does not recommend Cholestyramine. After 6 months of treatment & no exposure, IGG should go away. Also, level of IGG corresponds with level of mycotoxin severity in body. He also says urine testing is not valid due to the fact that if they show up in urine that it’s the normal excretion pathway and we are exposed to mycotoxins in food.
What do y’all think? I’m half tempted...I’m 4 months from no major exposure but have not treated with antifungal. And he does state that you will not get better without antifungal. Have used zeolite, takesumi supreme, cholestyramine and now GI detox. If this test was negative I think it would be time to close this rabbit hole for good!
