The results of this study were disappointing. Most of the herbs could only kill active borrelia and not persisters. The only one that could kill persisters was cryptolepis, and it took very high doses that many people would not be able to tolerate.

I guess my question is: How have so many people treating with herbs gotten back to 80% or better on herbs? It all remains confusing in so many ways.

The herbs seem to work, at least somewhat. So maybe people can get 80% better, but the disease relapses if they stop the herbs.

I know people who did get better on herbs and have stayed well... and no longer take the herbs

I don’t want to stop the naturals I take because they help with other health issues as well. Who knows maybe a little corona protection too?

An herbal approach is usually very different than a pharmaceutical approach. In Buhner's protocol, the anti-spirochetal facet is the facet of least importance.
