I find this twitter feed super interesting. Theyre saying the thinking on COVID maybe be completely wrong, it attakcs red blood cells. Basically the theory was that COVID causes an inflammation of the lung air sacs, a pneumonia, which kills. This post is saying that thats wrong... the way it actually kills is by affecting the way your body uses hemoglobin.

What else affects the way your body uses hemoglobin? Malaria and babesia. What kills malaria and babesia, plaquenil

I'm suspicious. Isn't this a non-doctor declaring "NEW RESEARCH" without providing any links?

I have not heard that the virus infects red blood cells. I thought it only infects the cells in the body w ACE2 proteins and I don't think RBCs have ACE2...
