After 6 years....planning for return to work

i left my job in 2013 and am finally feeling well enough to try a return to work.

I work for our Health authority - which is unionized. But, when I reached out that I was returning to work, they fired me....lol...
So, I got the union involved and 3 months after my termination, I have been reinstated.

Now, because of Covid19 I can't return...as i need to be re-trained and that requires someone sitting beside me - for at least 1 week of the 3 week training.

Good timing i have.....

The union rep said that the clerks may be able to work at home...which would have been great...

i also can't apply for the federal and provincial $$ that they are giving those who can't work during the covid crisis because one criteria is you made $$ in 2019...which I did not.

Why cant you be re-trained from home?
We share our screens when we are working together in school.

If they’re not already set up for it/doing it - I doubt they’d consider it for me.
I also have to be tested on some of the material I’ll be relearning which they wouldn’t allow me to do it home.

I’ll know more I’m a few weeks - still waiting for the letter in the mail saying I’m reinstated.
