ISEAI member Dr. Amy Thomas, O.D., FCOVD will present her unique perspectives on working with patients who have brain injuries that affect vision.

Vision issues and brain injuries of various types are all too common in the environmentally acquired illness (EAI) patients that ISEAI clinicians support. During this webinar Dr. Thomas will discuss the diagnosis of common brain injury related vision problems, the symptoms and behaviors commonly seen in patients, and she will present a number of useful rehabilitation modalities and resources. She will then answer your questions LIVE.

about Dr. Amy Thomas: She is a Neuro-Optometrist and Board Certified Optometrist experienced in Vision Development and Rehabilitation. At Arizona Vision Therapy Center she and her staff teach their patients the skills to overcome difficulties with their vision.

I am interested in this because one of my children actually goes to vision therapy due to convergence insufficiency. The doctor has discussed with us and given information to us about doing therapy for those with brain injuries or illnesses that affect the brain, due to talking to her about our daughter who has Lyme and her vision issues.

If Blakeley’s vision issues remain after getting better in treatment, I would 100% consider vision therapy. We have been amazed at the progress our son has made with it.
