RW, I have been reading about
autoinflammatory diseases and I think this is also something to check out.
Autoinflammatory diseases (innate immune system, no memory, tend to be genetic) are different than autoimmune (generally a mistake in the cell memory = autoantibodies that will show up on an autoimmune test).
"The autoinflammatory disorders are a group of diseases that, in their purest forms, manifest as recurrent fevers, high acute phase responses and a proclivity for inflammation of skin, joints, serosal surfaces and other organ involvement including the nervous system. These disorders lack the classical characteristics of autoimmune diseases such as high-titer autoantibodies."
Sounds kinda like you. Maybe worth doing some googling and seeing if you think it relates. Sweets syndrom which you had is also an autoinflammatory disease.
Have you had your ESR sed-rate and C-reactive protein checked? If theyre normal maybe its not. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
https://renaissance.stonybrookmedicine.edu/medicine/rheumatology/autoinflammatory-diseases-center"We serve patients with:
Pyogenic arthritis, pyoderma gangrenosum and acne (PAPA) syndrome
Idiopathic pericarditis
Undiagnosed fever, rash, joint pain, swelling, or gastrointestinal symptoms"
and a bunch of others i cut off
"If you have some symptoms without lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, primary Sjogren's syndrome, vasculitis or Crohn's disease/ulcerative colitis, you could have one of the autoinflammatory diseases, Yao syndrome or other disorders. You may need to see a rheumatologist or geneticist, who specializes in autoinflammatory diseases/periodic fever syndromes for further evaluation and possible periodic fever gene panel testing."
