My doctor started me on a round of Ivermectin to see if it helps at all since my Bartonella is not budging with treatment. I am also starting some other anti-parasitics (Albenza and Alinia) next week. I was wondering what I am supposed to feel if the Ivermectin is working? Do I Herx? Also, if I have parasites, will they definitely be eradicated with the anti-parasitic protocol? Or is it like Lyme/ confections where sometimes the treatment works and sometimes it doesn't? Thanks for any information.

When I used Ivermectin, it was low dose and only every 10 days but looking back now, I think it helped me. I didn't notice any herx from it but have heard of others herxing significantly on it. They were on a higher dose I believe.

From what I hear, it sounds like people benefit from anti-parasite treatment. If that is one of your issues causing symptoms, I would think you would note some improvement from it. Some have mentioned anti-parasitics helping with bart treatment. I believe a doctor I was listening to recently said that Bart can burrow into parasites.

Thank you. I’m only on it for two weeks but I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
