Bartonella Antibody Profile Blood Test

My mom was going to have some blood tests done. We order online via life extension and now using walkinlabs also then go to a labcorp for blood draw.

I have a little suspicion that she may have bartonella based on her history and current symptoms and noticed that walkinlabs has a Bartonella Antibody Profile Blood Test.

Do you think this would be of any benefit? Also, would a western blot be beneficial in this case?

Galaxy Labs is said to be the go to folks for Bart testing. I don't recall but it may have been like $350 or so.

Thanks. This one is like $115, but would guess galaxy would be considered more reliable?

Because it’s inexpensive - I might do that test - if negative then do the Galaxy lab

I first tested with Igenex for lyme only - got a positive WB
That was in 2014

After a couple years of treatment - I went to a different LLND and she had been getting some good test results at a lab back east (Canada) a pcr test - and it was inexpensive

I thought “what the heck” and I paid for a pcr - I think it was blood and urine (can’t remember for sure about a urine test) - $125 per infection.
I tested for Bartonella, Candida and one more -can’t remember which one.

Bartonella came back positive. I think it was good use of the $$

I have found it useful - at times when I was feeling crappy/herxing on Dr J’s bart protocol - it was good to know that I indeed have Bart and that’s why I was suffering.

Thanks, I think we'll go for the cheaper one at this point and see what the results are.
