Had my appointment with my LLMD she seemed to thing my symptoms are from a herd. She left it up to me titer up my dose. I told her I can't get past 750 mg of Biaxin. I also never had fatigue and I am left with crushing fatigue and spiciness, Im a space cadet after I ingest this pill. Is this normal for the abx to do this? On the good news, it seems like the crazy thoughts are getting better day by day. How is Ceftin? She said she would like me to add it in at some time. Biaxin has me feeling like a space cadet.

If it happens soon after you ingest the Biaxin - for example within 30 minutes after taking it - unlikely it's a herx...more likely a side effect/reaction to the drug.

Ceftin is a good antibiotic for lyme and paired with other meds, also good for bartonella.

No more like 1.5 - 5 hrs later. I cut a 500mg pill in half at night and seem to fair better. You were on Biaxin right Girlie Is it a tough drug to start with? My llmd seems to love it and wants me on all summer basically. I also I'm going to shell out the $ to get the Marty Ross lipo Glutathione. So the Ceftin will hit bart as well? Girlie did Biaxin help with Nuero problems? Mine are mainly Brain related.

It's really hard to say...1.5 hours later is still really quick to have an overload of toxins from the abx killing off the bacteria but I guess it can happen.

I didn't find biaxin was difficult to take...It was one of my first protocols for lyme - was on it for a couple of months.
I did have some improvements...not sure if any neuro problems resolved.
I've never had a quick resolution of symptoms....mine have ever-so-slowly diminished in severity until they're gone.

Does your doc have an account with Fullscript or something similar? You can buy supplements, including liposomal glutathione, much cheaper. My first doc was selling me Readisorb glutathione for $67. It’s about $45 on Fullscript, but since Coronavirus, they have trouble keeping any brand lipo glutathione in stock.

I just looked at MR’s stuff. He only sells Tri-fortify brand. The 48 dose tube is the most bang for the buck. That is pretty close in price and strength to what I pay per oz for Readisorb.

Did you have good results with it WF? I am going to give the Biaxan a couple of more days. I am on day 11 of it only. From what I herd it has poor brain barrier affinity.

I used Biaxin with no issues for one summer. It was easier on my gut than doxy and is a common replacement as there are no sun issues using it.

I did herx for 5 months straight on a group of three ABX's though. Did liver testing along side.

My herxing was not a "space Cadette" episode though. It was just more intense lyme symptoms.

No i beleive she does not. I will ask WalkingbyFaith. WOW 5 months straight. DId it ease up slowly or just keept raging on and the disappear Astroman?

The glutathione does work to remove toxins, but it can make you feel worse if you have a lot of toxins. My mold doc started me on 3 tsp per day 4 years ago, and I remained on that until a couple months ago, when I reduced it to 2 tsp per day.

People with mold issues, especially from Aspergillis/gliotoxin, have depleted glutathione. Glutathione and binders along with mold avoidance are pretty much the backbone of mold treatment.

It got easier, but I was still herxing at 5 months and then took a short abx break since that is not good for your body.. Started up again on different abx, again using the "shotgun" style of a lot of ammo at once. Then another break and abx change.

Thing is we dont know exactly what a herx is- its thought to be as much die off as it is toxicifiying your body from detox back-up. I dont detox well prob due to certain found liver Phaze II genes issues.

...its the 23andMe gene test. $100 five years ago...another $50 for the decoding.

All I can do is be kind to my liver..............which I do now.

Some of the genes on 23andMe that conventional medicine thinks are important can be done individually and with insurance - very very few though..........and you'd have to have reason.

I did have a few other genes double tested and yes, 23andMe test was correct when compared to the conventional tests.

I also had about 5K worth of other "conventional" specialty gene test "packages" for rare muscle disorders (there are so many!). But I had to seek special authorization to do this and it was covered and some from a grant to the clinic. It was good to know I dont have any odd muscle diseases.
