Last year I visited a lab that tests ticks for infections. Umass. I have visited there many times... this time I was given a spread sheet and discussed that no Bart has been found in any of the ticks they tested...I was informed of a debate in tick circles as to weather it is carried by ticks at all and it is obvious by the spreadsheet that no Bart was found wheras lyme was very much found and to a much lesser extent babesia was found.
I am assuming then that most people with Bart were infected by a different source. And also may have been asymptonatic. Opportunistic.
Just wondering if you all have ever thought about
this.... it doesn't change anything for treatment etc. ...
