Yesterday I was in the sun for an hour or so and started to feel a little fluish. Then last night I had a temperature of 103 and a headache and chills and a loss of taste. Today my temp has gone down but I’m wondering if this can be from the rifabutin I’m taking? I got Covid testing just in case and it’s negative.

A high temp is a herx symptom.
Sounds like you had other symptoms that could be attributed to a herx.

Interestingly I never had the fever with any of my herxes UNTIL I was treated for Bart with Rifabutin.

I had previously treated Bart with other meds a couple years earlier and never had a fever.

Loss of taste is a COVID symptom. I would call the doctor and get tested. I would also treat as if COVID pending results.

I already got tested for Covid and it was negative. Is it worth it to get tested twice?

I can get a herx like effect from sitting in the sun. even if I'm in it for 30minutes

have suspected Bart with Lyme

i assume its due to some of the immunomodulating effects sunlight has on us.

When were you tested for COVID? After fever/loss of taste? It was the swab test? How did you have a covid test and already get results if this was just last night?
