Hey guys, hope all is well.

I'm aware that a fair few LLMDs will pulse meds for each infection. I was wondering, has anyone heard of bactrim being pulsed? Particularly, for babesia treatment?

I know that malarone/mepron are pulsed often, along with azithromycin. Just trying my best to figure things out.

When I started at the J clinic - Bactrim was part of my first protocol

I have always been leery about bactrim - saw too many pics of people with SJS (When I googled)

So after starting the protocol and getting a few “spots” on my body - I called them and asked to switch to a different antibiotic.

So, yes it can be pulsed (according to the J clinic)

I took it m/w/f 2 weeks on/1 week off

After a few cycles I think it changed to: 2 weeks on/2 weeks off

Yes, the bactrim was twice daily - Everything is twice daily -(Mepron, Ceftin, Rifabutin, minocycline, Flagyl) except I think dapsone and daraprim are once daily.

Yes, I'm pulsing Septra DS Mon, Wed, Fri, (1) pill 2x day one week a month at this time.

I have pulsed the following:

minocycline, rifabutin, dapsone, daraprim, alinia, ceftin, bactrim, mepron, flagyl, tinidazole, clindamycin.

(ala Dr. J.)

edit: Those were for lyme/babesia/bartonella.

I have pulsed Mepron, Omnicef, Septra DS, Minocycline, Rifabutin, Azithromycin, Flagyl, Tinidazole, Ivermectin, Cipro. That might be all.

I pulsed Cryptolepis, Artemisinin, and Enula on same days abx were pulsed (mon, wed, fri). This was with the Lyme/Babesia protocol. I have some of the Dr. J protocols sheets if Girlie doesn't have them.

I did okay with Cipro but wasn't on it for too long, as we changed protocol. I don't think my LLPA would want me on Cipro more than one week a month because of potential issues. Omnicef was 600mg 2x day pulsed mon, wed, fri.
Cipro was 500mg 2x day pulsed mon, wed, fri.

Yes, that's fine. E-mail me and I will send sheets attached. It will show dosages for herbs and abx. Of course, might want to start out at a lower dose.

I think I was using full dose on the herbs. I may have been at the lowest Crypto dose stated.

No problem. Doing fair. Progress has been slow with treatment. Started Ivermectin recently (in addition to other ABX) and am having hard herxes with only 6mg once a week. I think it is having a good affect as I've had times when feel a little better once herx calms. It seems to hit something hard that my other abx aren't hitting as much.

Are you working with the Lyme doctor now? Are you still about the same or improved?
