That is the amount of curcumin that I take. Not sure about antibiotics, so someone else will have to weigh in on that.
This might be somewhat of a tangent, but I have been thinking about fasting in relation to cytokines. It seems that inflammation of all kinds goes down for people when they fast. Any time I've been dealing with a cytokine storm, a major feature for me is total loss of appetite and difficulty forcing in food. I've been wondering if giving my digestive system a break is what I should have done, rather than trying to force in smoothies or whatever else. Perhaps the inflammation would have subsided more quickly if I'd used an elemental diet or just paid attention to electrolytes and water for a few days, rather than a month or two of trying to force in food. Has anyone tried fasting for this reason?
saraeli,
Did you ever try a longer fast for inflammation? or elemental diet for a few days? I agree that fasting helps inflammation. I almost always feel worse after I eat. If I never had to eat that'd be great lol. I've done several 24-36 hour fasts, but never longer. It's hard to stick to them. I guess it's instinct. I fast naturally every day with an non-intentional intermittent fast. I do this because I simply don't have an appetite. I do wonder if a longer intentional fast could have permentant or temporary benefits in regards to the chronic inflammation. I know they do temporarily, but it would be great if it was a permanent benefit.
I hate it because I actively don't look forward to eating. That's a terrible way to go through life but it's my reality.
