Hi! I received my test results and I’m really confused. I tested negative for Lyme igg/igm but positive for igg p23, igg p28, igg p41, and igg p93. Everything else was negative. Does anyone know what this means? Should I be concerned about those four being positive?

Welcome to the forum.
Bands 23 and 93 are lyme specific... meaning only Lyme can cause those to be positive. Band 41 is not specific - but it is significant.
(Band 41 could be from some other things - Pintas and Yaws, Syphilis, dental...) as well as lyme.

How long have you had symptoms?

Did you see a “regular” Dr for that test... or are you seeing a lyme literate doctor (LLMD or LLND)?

Thank you so much for your reply! I’m going to a regular doctor. I was going to a rheumatologist 2 years ago who diagnosed me with fibromyalgia but he didn’t run these tests so I’m curious if it was something else this whole time. I started feeling significantly worse about 3 months ago, same symptoms as before just magnified.

Hi, Jess. Welcome!

Lots of things can make Lyme symptoms worse. Exposure to mold and water damaged buildings is a really big one. You mentioned symptoms got worse 3 months ago.

Did you move or change job or school buildings or visit another place around that time? Did you have any known or suspected leaks, flooding, water incidences just before or around 3 months ago?

I recommend you find a LLMD or LLND for an evaluation and treatment.
