My GI doc is one of those morons that thinks they know it all. I have a history of years of antibiotic use and not once he mentions sibo or cdiff he says my sibo test was neg bt failed to mention the 2 of sibo and when I bring that up he's says there's no such thing. Wt a bummer
The SIBO test automatically tests for both Methane and Hydrogren, so if they ran a SIBO test they tested for both. It sounds like if you were negative, then you had neither.
That being said, who knows, maybe its wrong. Do you have upset stomach, diarrhea, constipation, or excess burping?
You can try some at-home herbals. Emulsified Oil of Oregano is pretty powerful. Berberine is great for SIBO. SF722 is strong too and will go after Candida too if you have it. Olive leaf extract, neem, there are tons. It's usually recommended to pick 2 herbs at least, and rotate them. Or you can try a broad spectrum. Candi-bactin AR+Candibactin BR, or Dysbiocide + FC Cidal are two ready made formulas. well I know 1 cause of sibo for sure is over use of antibiotics and yes I had disgusting burps sulfur burps rotted eggs smell bloating and fullness as.soon as I eat 2 bites of food. When I say bloating I mean looking 5 months pregnant. Mind u I only weigh 117 pounds and I'm 5"7 so tall and thin. 1 clue is waking up with a flat tummy in the am them eating and feeling nauseas and bloated full . Constipated as well that's gotten better bt still happens . I have great diet and probiotics now so they said ibs bt to be realistic u don't just wake.up 1 day and decide u have ibs lol so I went on my many years of over use antibiotics and put the pieces together. I'll try oregano oil and allicin. I asked about
rifaximin because ppl claim to have gained weight off it and.felt.totally better. I can't gain weight for the life of it and I've always been on the chunky side in my life. I've tried gluten free paleo etc. For a while as well
