Several people have made posts on this but don’t always come back to read the comments in the past then the post goes away.
So I made a post mentioning making garlic oil out of chopped or minced garlic in olive oil , But I don’t think any of you read it.
Flaky dry scalp is not just a little deal the shampoo companies make it out to be and Calling it dandruff which is a made up name. It can be many combinations of psoriasis yeast whatever fact is it in flames the hair follicles. This is also different than male pattern baldness but obviously a lot of men have both. What we’re talking about
here though affects men and women.
Apparently it’s the sulfur or sulfate, confused, in garlic that your scalp likes. The one that is not in garlic is bad for you and is specifically stated to not be in many shampoos.
So there’s a bunch of YouTube videos of pretty girls putting garlic oil in their hair that obviously have no hair loss, which is a complete BS video then, As far is it working or not.
So I actually tried it and can tell you it actually does do something - Less hair in the shower and less hair on my Comb. I no longer have Lyme but I have autoimmune things and autoimmune skin issues. My “surfer hair” is by no means short LOL so I’m a good guinea pig for this. I try to do this One night a week And I am going on about
3 1/2 months. I’ve gone as long as three weeks and it still helps, but it is something you need to repeat if you don’t have perfect scalp health which might be impossible to achieve do to your body composition. But it probably will get better after lyme.
I remember googling garlic oil for hair on Amazon and somebody actually makes this. So whether you buy it or make your own with With olive oil and minced or chopped garlic in a heated pan for 20 minutes, you put in your hair with an eyedropper massage around leave it in for a couple hours while eating dinner ect then take a shower later. You could leave it in overnight if you put a blanket on your pillow or something. The old lady shower caps probably work perfect for this ha ha but I’m not about
to do it ! When rinsed, thoroughly no I do not smell like garlic.
The original Selsun blue, with selenium in it can help, read the Active ingredients , the new Versions do not have it, They have some kind of zinc in them which is the same as head and shoulders has - Which never help me at all.
And Nizoal shampoo, Which has a Ketoconinal or Something chemical in it also helps.
From what I’ve read you really can’t use hair dye if you’re shedding either. In my early 50s and don’t and never will use hair dye so when I start graying , then I’ll get a buzz cut. In the meantime it’s nice to have options.
