Hi everyone. I have had Lyme in the past about 2 years ago, treated with doxy for 10 days. I recently had an appt with a Lyme dr who sent some labs to Igenex for Lyme and Babesia and bartonella. Babesia came back positive, but I’m not so sure about the Lyme. The Dr wants me to go on a protocol that includes taking azythromycin for a month straight, along with some other stuff which I am kind of reluctant to do. Here are my results if anyone could kindly lend some advice I would appreciate it. Not sure if I trust this doctor, just a gut feeling. Should I even be treating Lyme or Babesia? I get weird knee pain in my knees which feels like nerves buzzing along with it. The knee pain drove me to the Lyme doctor to be honest. My tendons are always tight as well.

Lyme Igg western blot-39+, 41+ 66+

How did you feel after the 10 days of treatment ? Did you treat right away after the tick bite?
None the less - 10 days is usually not long enough -even for a recent, acute infection.
What is the LLMD suggesting you take with azithromycin for Babesia treatment?
Lyme and coinfections should not be treated with just one med.
Generally an antimalarial is paired with an antibiotic.
