I had terrible sleep issues forever, liposomal melatonin and phosphotydalserine made a huge difference for me. I can fall asleep in an hour or two instead of falling asleep half way through the night.
Regular melatonin just made me tired.
+1 on the TUDCA, lots of benefits
thanks for that itislyme
that's another interesting one - and I've not tried it as a sleep supplement myself before
however i do eat around 100g of mackerel most days with my lunch, and i also regularly eat offal, - so it looks like my intake of animal-sourced Phosphatidylserine will be somewhere like 2-3x the average intake of 130mg/day
and up near the supplemental dose ranges of 400-600mg a day
i have tried soy lecithin at around 10g a day and sunflower lecithin also at around the same dose - these are pretty good sources - and while i wasn't specifically looking for changes in sleep at that time, i dont recall any changes at all, and discontinued
i guess like a lot of nutrients - if you are low in them then adding them could make a big difference - but if you are ok in terms of having enough already then you may notice nothing at all.
it is interesting though - and anything that could help brain function is welcome so I may do some more digging
thanks for your experience
