This questions gets asked every few months by different individuals. So far my answers from googling and experience are not to popular here lol . People like poping pills here, there is no pill to pop for this.
Dandruff is non-technical "label" for something else not right on the scalp skin. Sometimes it itches sometimes not- because there are several reasons for flaking scalp skin. Yeast, psoriasis, eczema are all examples that confuse dermatologists. This is all inflammatory. There are PH changes going on too. Killing tick critters with abx or natural remedies will change PH.
Scalp health and hair follicle diameter is related in both men and women. Women just dont need to deal with the additional bad effects of testosterone in scalp follicle health.
-Information on the web mentions making garlic oil. There are natural health Drs on the web that mention why this works. Can buy this or make it. T make: olive oil medium heal in frying pan with chopped up or purchased minced garlic cloves for about 20 min. Do not burn. Can be kept in fridge. Longer left in better results. Ive tested this 1-3 hours in the evening while making and eating dinner, then wash hair after. You wont smell like garlic once after washing.
-Then there are two shampoos that help kill scalp and skinn critters: Selsun Blue is one, Nizoral is better. The more common dandruff shampoos are too weak and will not work as well. I can attest to this.
the one I've found to be effective is nizoral as it has 2% ketaconazole in it which is used for yeast
