Look into the work of Dr. Greg Lee on essential oils for Lyme. e offers free webinars sometimes on this topic, as well as (pricey) training seminars for professionals who treat Lyme. He relies on a lot of research from Johns Hopkins as well, so you might find some academic articles from Johns Hopkins as well. Essential oils are generally considered safe for use regardless of pharmaceutical or herbal antimicrobial treatment, but taking suggestions from someone with a strong background in both Lyme and EOs (like Lee) is a good plan. They are legitimate medicine, and you don't want to overload your system. Keep in mind that there are multiple ways to use EOs as well - nebulizer, diffuser, topical, liposomal, etc. Good luck!
