Bufflehead, from what is found in some sources, flushing is a common side effect of high dose niacin. Be carefull with the dose, you should moderate the intake, reduce the dose or perhaps stop for a some days to see how you feel.
Some supplements, are not reliable on doses and sometimes they put much much more than what is in the leaflet or bottle, but even then NIH advises that starting on 30mg niacin doses, you can get this side effect, although adults can take this dose, you are taking 60mg, twice as much
quote:
"The niacin that food naturally contains is safe. However, dietary supplements with 30 mg or more of nicotinic acid can make the skin on your face, arms, and chest turn red and burn, tingle, and itch. These symptoms can also lead to headaches, rashes, and dizziness."
Hope it helps.
