Yes, they returned negative a couple times and positive a couple times after. Treatment helped a little bit but ultimately most of my symptoms have not been helped at all by treatment

WBF: I just looked at my archived test results from Microgen and remembered a thought I had at the time.

I believe that the Microgen DNA sequencing is very very sensitive and that you want to take all precautions to ensure that your sample is not compromised in any way.

In my case, I was under dr's orders to basically have the test kit on hand and submit the sample when my UTI symptoms flared.

I stored the sample container under the bathroom sink so it would be easily available.

The results came back and there were 6 species of bacteria detected but the overall bacterial load was low.

I suspect that there might have been some contamination because the container was sitting in the bathroom for so long.

This is just a suspicion and I could be wildly incorrect. But I do believe that caution needs to be taken when interpreting results of these very sensitive testing methods.
