Curious if anyone has been to this place?

A guy from my neuropathy group is down there and he claims it’s legit. This dude is extremely negative about everything so for him to say he believes in it, I’m impressed.

The basic idea i think is is that they reprogram your autonomic nervous system to learn tolerance again. This has implications for a whole host of neurological diseases, not just neuropathy

I’m quite convinced that my CNS is just completely screwed up. I think my sympathetic is just destroyed beyond repair at this point. It flies off the handle over everything. I think that’s what causes this buzzing sensation I have. The ion channels are up-regulated and Cant calm down.

To prove this, I tried a wim hof cold shower this morning. This is a huge stress to try sympathetic. Wim’s belief is that if you stress the sympathetic it learns tolerance. I think mine is just too blown, and any stress pushes it over the edge. I’ve been using this Alzheimer’s drug Namenda for the past 6 days and it’s been controlling my buzzing, lending credence to my theory. I went for a cold shower and wham, buzzzzzzz.

I just don’t know how to re-induce tolerance to a system this fragile. That’s why I’m interested in spiros. My buddy said he saw people in wheel chairs walk out of there. One kid who started w him husband sympathetic was so destroyed he couldn’t stand and now he’s doing great.

Just 3m is a long time to spend there...I want to end this though. I’m making progress and I have an insight into this disease that no one else really appreciates, it’s just frustrating trying to shut it down completely

Spoke w/ several patients who have been there and I spoke w/ Dr Katinka, the head of the clinic. I am convinced that this is my best shot. Their method focuses on retraining the ANS and vagus nerve, thereby breaking the pain feed back and neuroinflammatory loop. Fixing the ans will also bring homeostasis to the gut. All of my research is leading me to this answer. From my focus on the microbiome, to the gut-brain axis, to glial cell neuroninflammation, to ANS invovlement in basically every inflammatory disease. It all fits together. And these guys have all of the most advanced technology that exists to address ANS. You cant get all of those treatments under one roof anywhere else in the world.

They are booked up until August, and I'm putting my name down. I'm so excited!!!!!!

Likewise, dcd2103, I wish you much success. Once you've resolved your issues, maybe I can hire you to formulate a treatment plan for me. I bet you could do it.

I've read a lot of your and Garzie's posts and they're good stuff. Obviously, you're both very smart and the amount of research the two of you conduct and the knowledge you each share is impressive and appreciated.
