I am contemplating writing a book about my sickness and what processes it takes to get well. I don't want to die and take what I've learned with me. I could write it in a fairly short time but it would take years to find all of my references supporting my statements. Those references (well over 1000) are located on 8 of the 11 computers I own and finding them would take time.

I have considered writing with each chapter having a section in layman's terms and one section with the science. I can get technical pretty quick and a lot of what I discuss will be over most people's head. Like a chapter on Polyamines. I'd have to have a chapter on Polyamines and there isn't an easy way to talk about them without going all cellular biology on everyone. I'm not sure how to make that less complicated.

It wouldn't be a book about specific treatments but rather a process to go through to determine what is going wrong. It would cover a lot of specifics and I'm just not sure how interesting a read it would be. Helpful yes, fun to read no.

Could you do internet searches and use this site for access?

Note: the actual web address changes often but a current one can usually be found by searching "sci hub"

You should write a book! You have some pretty interesting info. I think there are enough people out there that are interested in science.

I have the links saved it would just take a lot of time to find them and reread the articles. I've used Sci-Hub for years.

It would take a very long time commitment with basically no monetary gain. I'm living the good life now, I hate to put that on pause. I should do it though.

Do you have a family member, friend, or colleague who could help you?

I have never written a book, so I am not sure the best way to go about it. I guess a lot would depend on the writer and what they’re most comfortable with.

Would you succeed better if you just started somewhere and kept at it until you’re finished, or would you need to have the process and content all planned out before you could start writing?

Those references you have on all those computers - are they organized in any way that another person could retrieve them for you?

I found a company that will help edit and publish a book (I was thinking of publishing some of my writing), but I haven't decided to do it yet, since I have been busy.

The references are listed under subheadings like, Copper, Lithium, Glycine, etc. Easy to find, just takes time because I have 26 references under copper, 19 for lithium, and 23 for glycine. That is on the computer I'm currently using. Add in the other computers and I'll have over 100 references for just these three items.
I've published hunting articles for years in multiple hunting magazines so writing isn't a big deal for me, but time is.
