I believe that IV Rocephin and other IV Rx should only be used for the most severe neuro lyme cases, and for folks who's gut cannot tolerate any oral abx protocols. Costs for IV therapy are very high, and most insurance will only cover up to one or maybe two months maximum. Check with your insurance coverage before making any decisions.
I did 13 month IV Rocephin plus another 3 months IV Doxy consecutively, along with other oral ABX and herbal protocols with only marginal improvements to get to maybe 50% well. Treat Babs and Bart aggressively first with Rx and herbals to gain better improvements.
Thanks, extremely helpful,I state insurance, and I'm like almost positive it's all covered , the regular antibiotics are making me.herx bad, the reason why I said iv antibiotics is because Ibe been sick since 4 yrs old with positive lyme at that age , and I'm not going on 29 yrs old, so idk if we'd call that too many years and one of the worst cases by for me it's way past neurological ...I had cardio issues for years and all these physiological issues , I had to work like this and loss several jobs, almost lost my kids my sanity everything, I thought I'd die so I'd say it was a pretty bad case and thank god for all you ppl and your advice, info and support and.resources because I honestly dnt know where I'd be today. Clyndamicin now is rough had to stop yesterday after 1 week because I had no reactions bt now my head was on fire and I felt panic and heart rate up, insomnia. I just thought iv antibiotics were more effective???
