Hi all,
I started using Clareblend Mini - which is similar to NuFace for microcurrent. Lyme aged me pretty bad. Yes, I'm 46, but I always looked ten years younger, now I look 10 years older! I was getting carded into my 40s! No lie. So I wanted to do something to improve my skin, get back some of that youthful glow - especially since I've been feeling better for a few years now.
Does microcurrent herx you? I think it does. I've been relatively symptom free for a few years now. I started microcurrent last week and I've been feeling exhausted, moody, histamine reactions, and achey. I have weird sharp pains all over my body (they don't last) and every little ache is giving me anxiety and what feels like "pre-panic attacks" that don't manifest - just that gross "you know it's coming" feeling. My body odor is also up. It's pretty horrible to be Lyme free and then experience it again after so long.
But is it just the microcurrent? No. We order dinner from this great organic place - been doing it for years - and it never causes me problems. Many of you know I did the carnivore diet for a year and it got rid of the Lyme. Or at least, put it to sleep. Anyway, the place has been closed for two months (redecorating, they say) and we've been experimenting with other places. Bad idea. Chipotles gives me hot flashes, Pollo Loco makes me bloated and gives me greasy skin and hair. So we started cooking using those in-home delivery boxes. It's better, but I'm not used to the spices (even though I go mild) and vegetables. My gut is mad at me. Add in micocurrent and voila! Worst flare up I've had in years. And yeah, this feels like a legit flare up - I have to face facts. I've been trying to talk myself out of it, but I've come to the conclusion this is indeed a flare up.
Microcurrent will kill things, so good. I've also used it on my joints for pain - and it really really works. But apparently my body still isn't detoxing like I'd like it to. I may go full carnivore again for a few months and do some detoxing modalities to help this one along. I'm smarter now than I was five years ago, but man, is this a bummer!! And we can't discount the added stress of the pandemic - which I think is lowering everyone's health. I'm also thinking this Blood Moon is kicking my butt. The perfect storm.
The Plan:
1. Carnivore diet for three months
2. Drink more water
3. Something to help detox (not sure what yet. Taking suggestions)
4. Back on the old Lyme plan: supplements, rest, diet, movement
I still have to work, but I can't ignore this flare up anymore.

The full moon flares me up too. Every single time like clockwork.
People think I'm crazy, but with having Lyme and all I'm used to that by now.

RainyCloud, yeah, my husband just kind of nods. He doesn't get it. Even if you don't go for "alternative" medicine, it's actual science that humans are effected by the moon. Oh well. People being people.

Sorry to hear that 10LymeB
I read your post again and it got me wondering if you are lacking collagen?
Are you taking collagen by any chance? It's great for your skin. You're supposed to pair it with Vitamin C.
