I had bad heat intolerance for about 8 years, this is partly what led to my MS misdiagnosis. We had a heat wave in 2012 and my left arm went numb and stayed numb. I would slur my words, forget words, get spasms only on my left side, tingling, numbness, nerve pain all down my left side, couldn't walk in a straight line, severe fatigue, and I felt like I would lose 100 IQ points when I went outside. At the worst of it, right before I was diagnosed with Lyme and Bart, I left my apt to walk to Target 0.5 mile away and I could not remember how to get there. I had bad tremors in my legs at the end of the walk.
I currently live in NC and I am now fine in the heat, which I never would have imagined possible. All those symptoms are gone, since last summer.
When I could run in the heat in the past I would have to put ice in my sports bra and hat and even on my commute to work on the train I brought small ice packs to put in my bra. I thought it was something I would have to live with for the rest of my life. People with MS wear cooling vests and I was thinking about buying one. It was all from Bartonella, I believe.
I think once you kill enough of the bacteria it will go away. I do get some flu-like symptoms now if I just sit in the sun a lot (run down, achey), but that is sporadic and I think it's just from whatever Lyme bacteria I have left.
God bless u for taking the bus to work like that, I've been there done that and almost dropped so I know how that goes. I was sus8about
bart doing this, as I read bart infections also make your veins bulge out which has been an issue also. In the sun Forget it, there my veins go bulging out even more, ppl literally asked if I did drugs because of my veins smh. Also with bart theres increase nuerapathy in the sun and makes me feel like its 100 degrees out even though it's only like 77
