Antibiotics remission

In my world - excluding the people I’ve “met” on the forum - I know more people who have treated successfully with abx.

But most also took supplements - but not supplements to “treat” Lyme.

I think on this forum it’s prob 50/50?

RainyCloud, I think when people get better, they truly step away from the forums. I personally had a week where I felt decent compared to my other weeks and I didn't come to the forums once! I come the most when I feel terrible and look for some answers. Just imagine what happens when people fully recover! Also, Lyme disease is so common. Theres only a fraction that are on the forums and another fraction that even post. I would hope most people do recover but don't share their story but I think once they start feeling better, the last place they want to come to is the forum where they spent hours on when they were at their lowest point.

Girlie, for those who you saw treated successfully, were those chronic or acute infections?

Mostly chronic - but a few acute as well.

I take no abx, almost no herbs, and I'm getting close to remission after 8 years. I still think it will take up to 1 year to fully get there, but I'm getting closer.

For the last 5 months, I have been studying Computer Science full time at the university at the same time as I work 8-10 hours a week. I tolerate sugar well, almost don’t get any hangover after 1 bottle of wine, I can work out most days and do 1-hour mountain bike and strict muscle-ups, windshield whipers, etc at an outdoor gym. My Lyme bullseye is also gone.

But I still can't trust my brain 100 %, as I still get some brain fog, I can't work out as much as I want and have to avoid the harder sessions before I need to perform as I often push more toxins then. I can't eat all fodmaps without stomach problems. I still push toxins too much and herxed a lot a few days after taking herbs with a lot of pain in my mouth and anxiety. I still have some sensitivities even if they are less than before.

I focus on lifestyle factors and other ways of treatment instead. My latest focus has been a lot on reduced private internet usage (no I shouldn’t be here today), and now on exercises that should help with the Vagus nerve. In a few days, we will get a vibration platform that I look forward to trying. Also recently started taking essential amino acids and going to start with creatine in a few days. If you only take abx and don’t focus on other areas where you can improve your health, I believe that the success rate is very low if you have been sick for a few years.
