dcd - We do share that in common - sensitive to mots anything we try. The only medicine or herb I haven't had a bad reaction to, ironically, is Bicillin. It is what got me back so much better 6 years ago. I was on a much higher dose than I am allowed now because of kidneys. But looking back at old tests, the kidneys started going some before I started Bicillin.
If I remember right, you had a reaction to Monolaurin at a dose not much lower than mine (9-10 pellets)? Do you any candida problems with the infection? If you reacted to Monolaurin, that seems to say there is still an infection if you don't have candida. My point being maybe infection is pushing autoimmune symptoms? The diet idea is a god one, and I'm phasing out a lot of stuff I shouldn't be eating now. But with weight loss, it makes it that much tougher. I didn't know that can impact white blood cell count.
Garzie - What you wrote about being able to do things before and lack of collagen - totally understand. Problem for me is I really haven't lost a lot of strength but definitely fat/collagen/elasticity. I think the loss of collagen/elasticity is from Lyme, but am now thinking Bart is in the mix. Maybe I missed this on another thread, but have you tested positive for Bartonella? Even when I was younger when all this started so many years ago, all doctors would say is "Well, we do lose collagen as we get older." What idiots. It was a pattern and was progressing too fast to be simple age-related collagen loss. My mom was Armenian and I had same skin as she did. Her skin looked like she was 50 when she was 70.
You mention you get blisters. Do you have any pain in your toes? I'll wake up in the middle of the night sometimes with pain in my toes - not the joints. That's what leads me to Bart. Do your hands bruise when you use them as in is that what you are referring to as "damaged tissue?"
I have a tele appointment with my doctor Tuesday and I'm going to request a western blot (Labcorp) tests for Bart, Lyme and Babs. While I know it is doubtful to show a positive, I want tot try that first before paying for Igenex or another. If the western blot comes out positive, then I will know it probably is positive.
