Early on, before I ever got a Lyme diagnosis, my back would hurt, at times. Sometimes higher in the back, sometimes lower or in hips. Also, the worst has always been my cervical spine. My neck will tighten up and cause migraines.
A few years ago, the low back pain started and has never left. The neck pain, mainly right side, is often there and gets worse in the afternoons, causing migraines. It's to the point where I am going Thursday to get Botox injections to try and stop the migraines. I've read a huge amount about the safety of Botox and the impact it might have on Lyme. While it is a toxin, it is so little and hardly gets into bloodstream, and it's metabolized by the body.
Keep in mind, just because you have back pain now doesn't mean it will end up like mine. My guess is Lyme got into the joints and did some damage. Treatment could stop that. I went years without back pain after first episode.
