I have double MTHFR. I can't handle methylfolate or many methyldonors (methyl b12 is one that is well tolerated for example, so is TMG, whereas SAMe or methylfolate will drive me nuts). Many of us cant. Phosphyditylcholine is methyl-sparing, so acts like a methyldonor. They all causes agitation and insomnia for me. Some of us can handle them, so cant. I think it has to do w/ how sick you are. If the brain chemistry is too depressed for too long, it has to be done gradually and naturally. Forcing the methylation cycle
open is more than it can handle. Sometimes what the body lacks and needs the most, it can't handle. I'd suggest starting with some phosphyditylcholine and see if it affects your sleep or anxiety. If it doesnt, you can try methylfolate. If they do, stay away for now.
