Mistakingly received a steroid injection

Looking for advice, thanks to all those who can help:

I mistakingly received a steroid shot a week ago and now understand what it can do to the immune system for someone who suffers from Lyme + coinfections. My symptoms have gotten much worse from the shot and it feels like I’ve taken a huge step back.

For those who have experienced this, was there anything you can take to help with these effects? And how long did these negative effects from the shot last for?

Don't know if this will help you, but I looked online about what you asked and found, much like meds we deal with in Lyme, detoxing might help, if I am reading things correctly. Trying to get it out of your system as quickly as possible.,

What kind of steroid injection? Like hydrocortisone into a joint?

Hydrocortisone Injection in back yes

I'm sorry this happened to you. Was it a trigger point injection? I used to get those for my back and migraines. I asked my doctor if they had any side effects and she said no but we all know that that is not true, especially for Lyme patients. I would take lots of binders and sweat as much as possible, I hope that helps!

It was an injection into the nerve, it was supposed to help with the back pain I’ve been having, I was thinking of upping my binders, sounds like a good idea, thank you. This injection has made life very rough the past week.

Thank you, i got the shot about 10 days ago and from what I’ve read, they can last in your system for 1-2 months sadly
