Cats claw and shoulder tendon pain

I've been around a long time and haven't posted in ages but does anyone have any remedy for this. I don't want to resort back to antibiotics but Cats Claw appears to work great but I get a bad shoulder tendon pain on the back of my shoulders, more on my right shoulder. It just doesn't appear to be a herx and doesn't appear until i've been taken it for about 3 weeks and I try to tough it out for a few months after the pain appears but it just doesn't go away. I get this same pain no matter where I get the Cat's Claw from, even the TOA free does it too. I'm currently taking Gou Teng, Isatis, Houttuynia, sweet wormwood, japanese knotweed, garlic, chinese skullcap, andographis, CSA.

I would drop the cat’s claw. Keep doing the other herbs. You already have a pretty full protocol. If you really want to take an immune boosting herb, you could see how you do with Cordyceps. I didn’t do well with either one. If you still get tendon pain without cat’s claw, try reducing the knotweed dosage a little.

Have you ever tried or considered DMSO?

The infections can hide out in joint areas and places of previous injuries. If you want to try to get the herbs to penetrate deeper into that area, you might want to mix some powdered herbs with DMSO and apply to the area. You can get cat’s claw, knotweed and houttuynia all in powdered form. I am not sure about the safety of doing this with alcohol tinctures.

If interested, search for old DMSO posts. It’s kinda dangerous so you gotta make sure you get the right kind, the tools, and know how to do it safely.

Thank you for the reply. I wasn't really using cats claw for immune boosting purposes. It was just one of those herbs that seemed to complete the protocol and really target lyme. I did love otoba bark but it gave me this scary rapid heart beat and fluttering that would last for about 10 seconds. A lot of the herbs I'm taking seem to go after bartonella. I've been feeling about 90% my old self but cats claw seems to fix the part of creativity, great mood and motivation that lyme likes to steal from us. I have tried cordyceps from time to time and I was never able to tell if it helped. I'll read up on dmso some more, thanks for the ideas. I also like gou teng but it keeps giving me high blood pressure as a side effect.
