So I learned something new today.
I know some people (including myself soon) take frankincense (boswellia) for lyme symptoms like inflammation/cytokines.
I've been looking a lot into why certain supplements don't work for some people, or only at certain times and under certain conditions.
Turns out, a lot of herbs are just really poorly absorbed.
Turmeric curcumin for example, unless paired with black pepper and/or in a liposomal form. Is literally barely absorbed.
Frankincense (boswellia) is another example.
But this one has a really simple solution, which is to take it with a fatty meal.
Boswellia has several different acids, and all of them are absorbed several folds better when taken with a fatty meal.
