Hi Wild Teasel
i am in the UK and diagnosis and treatment for chronic Lyme through the conventional health system here is near non-existent.
Speaking with a GP or infectious disease consultant about possible co-infections is tantamount to being asked to be sectioned.
it is indeed very isolating, but there are a surprising number of people going through this - and many other similar chronic health conditions that are either not believed or not treated appropriately in the conventional health system.
welcome to the forum - i am sure you will find many caring, helpful and knowledgeable people here
Hi Garzie (I always read that "grazie", italian for thank you, idk why...)
Thank you for your the welcoming words and for sharing your own experience.
Do you know someone else in the UK with Lyme?
In a world that's turning digital in every sense, I miss the possibility to seat face-to-face with someone who's going through this.
Every time I came to the forum, it was with the wish for connection, but it's difficult to stay consistent to see if there's any results from that.
Also, as I mentioned on my reply to the Traveler, typing get in the way...
